Motivations on
why you take up yoga. What drives you to work harder towards achieving
your goal as a Yoga Instructor?
I was motivated to take up yoga because I always enjoyed exercise. For
some time, I was doing aerobic as my main form of exercise, but I was
looking for something more soothing to my body and mind. So, when a
friend suggested yoga, I took a serious look at the benefits of yoga and
I found it to be an excellent form of exercise to bring harmony to my
body and soul. I hope to travel the world as a yoga instructor and this
drives me to be the best yoga instructor I can be.
Yoga has become and will always be part of my daily activities. My
future plan is to become a yoga instructor and I hope to take this skill
wherever I go. Since I am a Muslim, yoga is more of a sport rather than
spiritually. Part of my future plan is to promote yoga as a form of
exercise among Muslim women.

have given me. Also I would like to thank our fellow students of Batch

One Fitness too.
Batch 14 – Wong May Ley
I like all the
combination of theory, practical practices and teaching because
practical and theory provide the purpose and meaning while teaching
brings deeper understanding and improvement in me. Teaching helps me to
learn from others and to have union with people.
I would like to thank Master Pradeep and Master Paalu for sharing their
knowledge and wisdom with us. Through their encouragement and guidance,
I’ve grown to understand and appreciate Yoga more. I have been extremely
fortunate to learn about Yoga and their way of life from them.

Special thanks go to all the wonderful teachers, who have guided me
patiently during the Diploma Course. Master Paalu has his own style in
motivating the students to practice the advanced asanas. He inspires me
a lot with his interesting teaching techniques, which filled with
concern and sincerity.
Master Shivam can easily read one’s mind even for the first time. I am
amazed by his “extraordinary senses” and I believed that is “YOGA”.
Master Weiling has really brought me into another world during the
meditation session. She emphasizes on self-realisation through my own
experience and sensation.
I have learnt a lot from them. I find that the experience and the
knowledge I gained throughout the course have enhanced my yoga teaching.
Now, I can share the wonders of Yoga with my students.
Batch 11 – Emily Loh
Special thanks to:
Master Paalu, Wei Ling, Raja, Rao and Tane - Thank you all once again
for all your hard work to get people such as me through the
Certification/Diploma Course for Yoga.
I am really delighted to have come through all the state and I am proud
of myself and the group, and proud to have been part of the group.
To experience sharing and supporting each other was a very valuable
lesson which I shall endeavor to bring into life. My energy level has
gone way up as a result and therefore has much more to give to others.

The first thought that comes to peoples’ mind when anyone mentions the
word “yoga” is flexibility. Immediately their response would be “No I am
too old for it. It takes years of practice” or “I am not flexible……it’s
not easy to do”. Well, I am not surprised as these were my exact opinion
of yoga too, until I joined One Fitness. After joining the Yoga
Instructors Course, a lot of changes took place not only in my views on
yoga but also in me. Physically, I felt fit and mentally I felt
peaceful. This brings us back to the true meaning of Yoga.

him.
